Mortgage Loan Originator

A Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) is an individual who works with a borrower and negotiates the terms of a residential mortgage loan transaction with various lenders. As a Mortgage Loan Originator you will understand the fundamentals of the residential mortgage lending process – from pre-qualifying potential borrowers, to understanding appraisals and closing a loan.

You’ll be provided an overview of the Banking Department and the broad scope of its authority, as well as explore the New York Banking Laws and other regulations pertaining to consumer protection.

The 20-hr NY SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator course is also cross approved for Real Estate Continuing Education.
